MANC Needs Your Help!

Why?

The Montessori Association of North Carolina (MANC) is the official NC Montessori Association recognized by the Montessori Public Policy Initiative (MPPI) https://www.montessoriadvocacy.org
MANC is the NC state organization for all of us as we work together with a collaborative, unified vision and voice in North Carolina.
MANC supports all NC Montessori schools, professionals and families in our state. There are many opportunities in which to participate: educational conferences, workshops, regional events, advocacy and community outreach.

Board Recruitment: The MANC Board needs to expand! We are seeking volunteers who represent those interested in Montessori education from all regions of our state (Western, Northern , Piedmont and Coastal regions).

We are currently looking for some volunteers from the Piedmont Region of the state:

a parent
a public Montessori school teacher
a Head of an independent and public Montessori school

ALSO: MANC needs your help NOW in these areas, in particular:

Education Committee: help to build a robust professional development plan and implementation for 2022 and beyond
Membership Committee: help with follow up calls as needed to the membership; help with regional meet and greet opportunities; help with newsletter
Advocacy Committee: for those volunteers who are in the Raleigh area to help by attending state meetings regarding preschool and K-12 education; help by researching latest decisions regarding childhood education in NC; help with planning and implementation of advocacy strategy for MANC for 2022 and beyond
Website Support: help build a user-friendly website and maintenance
Accounting Support: help as needed
Attorney Services: help as needed
